Activity description:  

• Welcome everyone and instruct all parents and children get name tags. 
• Safety Walk 
• Roll call and Rules  
• Introduce the flow of the day using the picture cards  

 
Words of the Day    ->         PLAY    ->     Snack + Story     ->      Free play 

• Give parents instructions on how to take part in activities with their kid 
• Go through the words of the day using picture cards.  

 
WORDS OF THE DAY 

• EARTH 

• SEA 

• WIND 

• SUN 

• RAISIN 

• EYES 

• MOUTH 

• FACE 

• HAPPY  

FOR YOUNGER KIDS:   

• Place the picture card for earth, sea and wind on different sides of the room.  
• Put some music on in the background. 
• Say one of the words and ask children to run to the picture. 
• Do this with all the words. 

 FOR OLDER KIDS:   

• If the group is small, everyone can do the small group movements (listed below). If the group is large, you can also divide the groups into CAPTAINS and BOATS. You can also make parents either the SHIPS OR the CAPTAINS. 
• Hold up each picture card and show the children the corresponding move. MODEL EACH OF THE MOVEMENTS A FEW TIMES. If there are two volunteers, do this together, if not ask an older child or another adult to help.   
• Put some music on in the background. 
• Say one of the words and ask children to perform the corresponding movements. Encourage parents to also get involved.  
• Do this with all the words.
