Our report on weakening the wellbeing of intercultural families has been published!
2.12.25 We carried out a report on the laws the current government has enacted that weaken the wellbeing of intercultural families. The report deals with integration, residence permits, and the effects of the government’s acts on the atmosphere regarding migration. The report was carried out because the current government has enacted significant restrictions on the policies affecting intercultural families. So far there has not been an overall view on the policies, as noted by the Non-Discrimination Ombudsman in June this year. The report is an attempt to remedy the situation and gather all the legislation in one place.
After the report was finished in September this year, there have been implications from the immigration and integration fields that some of the predicted consequences have started to actualize. For example, people are not using unemployment benefits because it can affect their residence permits or naturalization later. |
