|
Belingual language clubs are volunteer-led clubs where families with under school-aged children, who speak the same language as one of your home languages come together to play, sing, craft and have fun. The clubs support children's language and identity development and give families an opportunity to experience their language and culture in a community. The clubs meet every two week for two hours.
We currently have 24 clubs in 18 different languages across Helsinki, Espoo,Tampere and Oulu. Click here for the club schedule and registration. |
Anti-Racist Storytelling & Drama Workshops for Children
|
Our anti-racist workshops are storytelling- and drama-based sessions where children explore empathy, inclusion, and diversity in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Through stories, role-play, and guided drama activities, children reflect on emotions, fairness, and belonging in a safe and supportive environment.
We offer two workshops:
Workshops can be booked for early childhood education, schools, clubs, and other child-focused activities. We also organise open workshops for children throughout the year. Bookings and enquiries: [email protected] or by filling the request form. The next workshop will take place on 29 August. You can register through this form. |
Let’s Understand Together – Anti-Racist Workshop for Parents
|
This workshop supports parents in raising children who feel confident in their identity and prepared to face racism and discrimination. It offers practical tools for talking with children about racism, strengthening emotional resilience, and supporting children’s cultural identity development.
The workshop usually takes place in two parts. The first session is held on one day, and the second session follows a few months later, giving parents time to reflect on the themes and experiences discussed. If needed, the workshop can also be arranged as a single session upon request. The workshop can be organised in person, online, or self study for parent groups, organisations, schools, or communities. If you would like to organise the workshop, please fill in the request form. If you have specific needs or would like to discuss a different format, please contact us at [email protected]. The next online workshop will take place on 30 May. You can register through this form. |
