Embracing Bicultural Identity and Well-Being Through Creative Expression Workshop
Have you ever felt like you lost parts of yourself while trying to fit into Finnish culture? Or maybe you feel torn between the life you left behind and the one you’re building here?
Living in Finland for years doesn’t always mean feeling at home. This workshop is a space to gently explore your bicultural identity, reflect on your values and traditions, and discover how these elements can coexist in your life. Through creative tools like storytelling and visualization, you’ll learn to navigate the complexities of living between cultures — and embrace the richness it brings. Date: Thursday, March 20 Time: 17:30–19:30 Location: Our premises (Haapaniemenkatu 7-9 B (10 fl.) For whom: Foreigners living in Finland for 4–5+ years, struggling to find a sense of belonging. |
BELINGUAL LANGUAGE CLUBS
Belingual language clubs are volunteer-led clubs where families with under school-aged children, who speak the same language as one of your home languages come together to play, sing, craft and have fun. The clubs support children's language and identity development and give families an opportunity to experience their language and culture in a community. The clubs meet every two week for two hours.
We currently have clubs in English, Spanish, Russian, German, Italian, Farsi, Igbo and Swahili in Helsinki and Espoo. Click here for the club schedule and registration. |
