BELINGUAL LANGUAGE CLUBS

Picture: Logo Belingual Language Club
Belingual language clubs are volunteer-led clubs  where families with under school-aged children, who speak the same language as one of your home languages come together to play, sing, craft and have fun.  The clubs support children's language and identity development and give families an opportunity to experience their language and culture in a community.  The clubs meet every two week for two hours.

We currently have clubs in English, Spanish, Russian, German, Italian, Farsi, Igbo and Swahili in Helsinki and Espoo.

Click here for the club schedule and registration.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

Picture
The activities are open to anyone looking to meet great people and learn new things. The activities are free of charge and primarily intended for Familia members. The annual membership fee is 25 euros for adults and 10 euros for children (under 16 years). If you are not yet a member, you are welcome to come and check out our activities and decide later whether you wish to join the association. Some of our events are also open to anyone who is interested.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Advance registration is required for some of the clubs and groups. More information about registration is found next to each individual club or group description.

WHERE?
Unless otherwise stated, the events are held in the Familia premises. All groups meet at Familia’s premises in Sörnäinen, Lintulahdenkatu 10, Helsinki, which is also the departure point for excursions. Children are welcome to participate along with their parents. The excursions are made on foot or using public transportation (bus, tram or metro). All transportation fees are paid by the participants themselves.
