Familia's strength lies in it's members. Familia’s members play a huge role since it is the members that form the cornerstone and foundation of the association's activities. As a member in our association, you are contributing to the advancement of equality, tolerance and non-discrimination in our society.
Membership in the Familia association is open to everyone who sympathises with the objectives of the association and wants to influence, participate in and support association activities.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN?Our association offers its members different types of activities, support and information. As a Familia member, you can participate in activities free of charge and members are prioritised when the number of course participants is limited. Finnish language courses organised by Familia always require membership in the association.
As our member, you ensure that the voice of you and your family is heard in societal decision-making concerning immigration, integration and intercultural family affairs. Familia is the only organisation in Finland that promotes the interests of intercultural families, and as a member, you have the possibility to make a difference. Your read it well! As a member you can make a difference! WHO CAN BE A MEMBER?All kinds of people, both with families and without, are eligible for membership in Familia. Members include people of all ages who were born in Finland, who moved to Finland from abroad or whose lives are touched by interculturalism.
Other registered associations that support the aims and principles of our association may also join as members. HOW DO I JOIN?You can become a member by completing the online membership application. An invoice for the membership fee will be sent to you by email.

As a member of Familia, you are a valuable part of our community that promotes the well-being and equality of intercultural families in Finland. As a member, your voice and that of your family can be heard in the planning of services and in decision-making related to multiculturalism, multilingualism, immigration and integration, for example. As our member, you can also participate in Familia's regular meetings and thus, develop our activities. We respect your privacy.
