Hi, nice to have you here! |
|
MunDuo project aims to strengthen the identity, well-being, and growth of intercultural youth aged 13–25 through peer support. We seek to raise awareness and increase the visibility and representation of intercultural youth, as well as their perspectives and needs.
At MunDuo, you can take part in a wide range of activities and become part of a community of intercultural youth. We organize events, peer support groups, and relaxed hangout evenings where you can meet others and share experiences. We offer a safe space to be yourself and to explore what it means to belong to two cultures.
Our goal is to raise awareness of the unique experiences of intercultural youth, promote dialogue about their position in society, and offer support in dealing with experiences of racism and discrimination. We also support the parents and professionals who work with intercultural youth by providing information and tools for educational work and supporting the well-being of young people.
Our activities are nationwide, so no matter from where in Finland you contact us from, we are here for you.

By intercultural youth, we mean young people who have grown up in a family, where the parents come from different countries or who have more than one linguistic and cultural background.

VIDEO PROJECT: FINNISHNESS 2.0
Who is Finnish and who is not? Who, if anyone, has the right to define the cultural identity of others?
In this video, young people from intercultural backgrounds share stories, talk about their own experiences, and discuss how they hope Finnish society and Finnishness will be defined in the future.
Triggerwarning: This video also deals with experiences of racism and discrimination, which may evoke challenging emotions in viewers who have experienced similar situations.
